Abnormality Risk Levels Guide for Tuantu Lobotomization

The five risk tiers

Tuantu’s Lobotomization Branches classifies every Abnormality into one of five risk levels inherited from Lobotomy Corporation design language:

  1. ZAYIN — introductory containment; forgiving counters and low Fear radius.
  2. TETH — skill-check tier; teaches mood games and meltdown tradeoffs.
  3. HE — department backbone; high PE with real breach consequences.
  4. WAW — raid-tier entities; demands E.G.O loadouts and team calls.
  5. ALEPH — facility threats; mechanics overlap with Ordeals and suppressions.

Risk is not purely difficulty — it signals PE yield, Fear generation, work penalty severity, and E.G.O extraction tier. Opening a WAW box on day one is a player choice, not a progression requirement.

ZAYIN — foundation tier

ZAYIN Abnormalities exist to teach Instinct, Insight, Attachment, and Repression without instant lobby wipes. Qliphoth counters tend to be generous; breaches, when they happen, are localized and suppressible with basic gear or even clerks watching from afar.

Use ZAYIN days to train KeybindsT stats, J encyclopedia, Q dash on harmless hallways. Farm introductory E.G.O gifts and first LOB upgrades (one hundred LOB = plus five). Concrete entity patterns: ZAYIN Guide.

When to move on: consistent Good moods, meltdown picks without panic, at least one TETH weapon extracted per Extract E.G.O.

TETH — transition tier

TETH introduces sharper mood penalties and faster Fear on low-level clerks witnessing breaches. Many TETH entities gate TETH E.G.O that remains relevant through HE days — do not skip the tier emotionally because ZAYIN felt easy.

TETH is the sweet spot for public lobby harmony: high PE without constant /resetday requests. Study TETH Guide and pair with How to Play meltdown priority.

When to move on: stable TETH meltdowns, HE suit stat requirements met on T panel, team agrees on ping protocol.

HE — core facility tier

HE Abnormalities anchor mid-game PE boxes. Failed Insight chains breach into main corridors; Ordeal overlaps become deadly. HE extracts define most Weapons and Suits meta before WAW vanity chase.

Enable HE boxes department-by-department — not all at once. Keep one ZAYIN battery per wing for NE soak if needed. HE breaches during Dusk Ordeals cause Fear cascades; schedule PE pacing deliberately.

Binah-update entities like Old Lady and Wishroot sit in HE conversation — verify risk on Trello as cards update.

When to move on: Core Suppression practice groups ready, WAW weapon milestones planned in LOB Planner.

WAW — raid tier

WAW Abnormalities behave like mini-raids: multi-phase breaches, department-wide debuffs, or add spawns. Qliphoth mistakes during WAW farming often require /egopool weapons or abort via owner /resetday.

Gear expectation: HE minimum, WAW preferred, gifts covering Justice gaps from Gifts Tier List. WAW extractions showcase on Beat Red Mist sidelines — not mandatory DPS but stat sticks matter.

When to move on: only after suppressions feel routine — not because a YouTube thumbnail said so.

ALEPH — apex tier

ALEPH entities blur line between Abnormality and facility event. Fear radii punish sightseeing clerks; work rules may alter global PE modifiers. ALEPH breaches during meltdown timers effectively end days unless owners intervene.

ALEPH E.G.O is prestige — beautiful, costly, sometimes useless if Fortitude never caught up. Chase after Red Mist and suppression clears documented in Updates Review.

Risk versus employee level

Risk tier interacts with employee level for Fear calculations. A level 1 clerk adjacent to a HE breach may panic even if a level 8 agent would not. Route clerks with V carry before enabling higher tiers — see Mobile Controls if carrying on touch UI.

Meltdowns and risk

Meltdowns ignore your favorite tier — they threaten whatever counters are active. Higher-risk portfolios mean harsher meltdown dilemmas: sacrifice ZAYIN vs prevent HE breach. Framework in How to Play.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Which risk level should beginners start with?

Start with ZAYIN Abnormalities until keybinds, work types, and meltdown communication feel natural. Move to TETH once you extract basic E.G.O and understand Qliphoth counters.

Is ALEPH harder than WAW?

ALEPH is the apex tier with facility-wide consequences and extreme Fear. WAW is raid-difficult but ALEPH breaches more often end entire days without perfect coordination.

Do higher risk Abnormalities give more PE?

Generally yes — higher risk tiers yield more Positive Energy per successful work but punish failures with faster breaches and higher Fear generation.

How do Binah update entities fit risk tiers?

Dummy, Old Lady, and Wishroot from version 0.9.1 are documented on Trello with assigned risk levels. Check encyclopedia J entries before enabling them in multi-risk departments.
